Great for a quick stop, but not luxurious
The hotel is just two minutes away from Larissa Metro station! I found a nice little supermarket a short walk away, perfect for grabbing some quick snacks.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for what you get, it's still acceptable.

We had a nicely remodeled room in a great old building. Breakfast was good. It is very convenient for Larissis Train Station (and also subway). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Totally recommend for a getaway
Clean room, friendly staff, and excellent location near the metro made my stay enjoyable and convenient for exploring the city, especially with easy access to archaeological sites.
Utterly satisfied.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, I loved the look of the hotel, nice old building, and because of that the rooms had high ceilings and the corridors had windows giving it an airy feel. It was very clean. It is not in the best part of town but it is opposite a small school and no more that 2 min from the train station, I did not feel threatened comming back at night. It was good value for money

Silent and fairly clean hotel, helpful and proactive staff. Lovely bed in single room with a hair dryer, a balcony, and WiFi. Outstanding food including toast, breads, and cheese at the breakfast. Convenient and ideal location close to station, and only about 15 minutes' walk to Athens centre.

would love to come back here some time.
Air conditioning was a lifesaver. The room had a refrigerator and a private bathroom with body soap and shampoo. Towels were fresh daily, and there was a hairdryer, too. Nice to have a wardrobe for storage. Plus, the sauna was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring.

The staff are really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and it was beautifully presented. It's a nice hotel, it's very close to Larissis station in a quiet neighbourhood and, a real bonus, during the early evening the 'town band' practises close by so we had live music to listen to - great tunes, played with consummate skill, loud enough to hear but not loud enough to be at all intrusive. We enjoyed our two night stay very much.

We first stayed at the Diethnes Hotel in late May 2011 and were very pleased with the hotel in all aspects. We have now stayed there for a further four nights late July 2011, and have been thoroughly impressed with the hotel - all of the staff are very helpful - the cleaner, breakfast person, office staff, reception - day and night, the room facilities were all that we required - airconditioning, own bathroom, tv, comfortable bed, balcony, breakfasts (included in our room rate) were excellent. The hotel has been fully repainted during 2011 - good colours and drapes, the rooms are clean and also cleaned each day during our stay. The hotel is well placed being less than 200 metres to the Larissa Metro station and main train station for Athens

Terrific place, lovely beds, INCREDIBLE staff. Generally clean unit with a comfortable decor. Fairly nice experience there.

fine location, proximity to metro, quirky decor
The front desk experience could really use some polish!!! The bathroom suffered from a leaking issue, which dampened my stay. Room security was questionable with a faulty lock that provided little reassurance!!!

I found the rooms to be pretty standard, and the staff was so helpful and nice.
The bathroom was just a bit small, but hey--I had a private bathroom!

The classic room with fantastic views had all necessary amenities. The location of the hotel was comfy and ideal - not too far away from Church of the Living Word.

During my stay as a solo traveler, I found the location to be quite convenient, just a short walk from a metro station and a supermarket. One positive was the room's balcony, which allowed me to enjoy some fresh air. The room had issues, such as an uncomfortable bed and a bathroom that was in dire need of updates. Despite these downsides, the staff member who helped me during check-in was courteous and really made a difference.
